Aberdeen Action on Disability: Governance & Operations Plan

Business SupportCase StudiesCommunity (& Stakeholder) EngagementEvaluationStrategy & Development

Aberdeen Action on Disability (AAD) is a well-established organisation founded in 1992, serving individuals with physical and sensory disabilities in Aberdeen. SKS was employed to improve the long-term sustainability of AAD’s structure, and examine its governance, management, policies and procedures. Extensive research was undertaken, looking at AAD’s activities, benefits, ambitions, board / staff / volunteers, and a consultation with key stakeholders carried out. A skills audit of the board, staff and volunteers was then undertaken, alongside a governance review, a marketing plan, and a governance and operations action plan developed. This action plan detailed each focus, relevant actions, delivery, timescale and key performance indicators.
