A Vision for Lanark: project management and business planning

We recently worked with Lanark Community Development Trust, project managing over 18 months the Vision for Lanark: a 10-year strategy which draws on the potential of the area’s unique cultural and natural heritage to produce a greener, more prosperous place to live work and visit.  Partners in this project include the Scottish Wildlife Trust, New Lanark Trust, South Lanarkshire Council, Discover Lanark (BID organisation) and Border Biscuits, although many other associations have been built (eg with youth groups, local charities etc).

This work has involved extensive co-ordination and the development of close working relationships to ensure the best possible results for all.  The development and delivery of a business plan, tourism strategy and communications plan has been integral to this, with campaigns targeted at different audiences (eg partners, the local community, potential funders etc) which has enabled strong engagement throughout.
