Heartland Cares. A forward-thinking social enterprise delivering vital care services in rural communities
SKS are supporting Rannoch Community Trust and Dunkeld, Birnam and District Community Development Trust to recruit board members for their new community-led home care project, Heartland Cares.
Thank you for your interest in the trustee positions for our new community-led social enterprise. This new organisation will be a charitable organisation operating on social enterprise principles, delivering Home Care and other social care services in North Perthshire. Our primary focus is to support people living in our remote, rural communities. This Board will be responsible for the governance, strategic direction and operations of the charity.
We are looking for a variety of skilled, enthusiastic individuals who are able to commit their time and expertise to this new, innovative and vital community-led enterprise. The trustees will be required to lead, control and supervise the organisation’s activities, acting in the best interests of the organisation and its beneficiaries, following all requirements of law and regulation.
We are keen to appoint up to 6 Trustees to lead the organisation at this exciting time. As a new Trustee you will work closely with us, as part of our Board, to develop the strategy and support our CEO develop and grow our new organisation, building on a strong foundation of planning and research, with wide community support.
We warmly welcome applications from members of our community, who bring an understanding of some of the challenges faced by our local population, and from further afield, from those who similarly appreciate the difficulties faced by rural, remote communities in securing equality of access to social care services.
