Highland Hospice – Evaluation of a Community Partnership Model in Delivering Social Care Services

Case StudiesCommunity (& Stakeholder) EngagementEvaluationImpact EvaluationStrategy & Development

SKS undertook an evaluation of Highland Hospice’s social care partnerships with ten community-based trusts across the Highlands. We used semi-structured interviews with community partners, key stakeholders, service users and their family and friends to explore and understand (i) community partner organisations’ experiences of working with the Hospice to deliver social care services within their communities; and (ii) the impact and value for service users of befriending and care at home services provided by Highland Hospice in partnership with local community organisations.

We used the findings to highlight the key challenges of service delivery and identified a series of recommendations to enable the continued development of this third sector partnership approach in delivering crucial social care services across the Highlands.
