Kemnay Village Hall – Feasibility Study

Aberdeenshire Council currently owns Kemnay Village Hall and leases it to the Kemnay Village Hall (SCIO) (KVH): the lease is due to expire in 2025.  SKS developed a plan with the community group to investigate the option of purchasing the asset from the Council, modernising and upgrading it over time, recognising that this is likely to be a long-term project.  We looked at the options available, with technical input from John Gilbert Architects.  The viable options were be discussed with KVH, and the feasibility of the most appropriate route examined with recommendations made.

Also included in the plan was evidence of local community support, benefits and outcomes, strategy fit, and project delivery (eg board, staff and volunteer resources, site use, activities, marketing, financial revenue income and expenditure projections).
