Shona is the founder of SKS and an experienced senior manager who specialises in setting up and growing organisations, providing feasibility studies, research and business planning. Shona brings together the breadth of experience gained from thirty years of successfully working both within the commercial business sector, integrated with the cultural ethos of the public and not for profit sector. Shona has a strong focus on employability and health and well being projects.
Shona is involved in delivering an employability agenda through her role with Work4ME and the Health and Social Care Alliance. For example, Shona recently led on the setting up and development of Work4ME, a user led social enterprise co- operative organisation for those with fluctuating, long term health conditions, tackling work. It is based on an asset based approach, developed as a co-operative and focuses on a person centred model.
Shona is a Trustee of the Health and Social Care Alliance, and Social Enterprise Scotland, a specialist advisor with Cooperative Development Scotland and formerly a specialist advisor with HIE. Shona is also a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (FRSA).
