SKS worked with John Gilbert Architects to produce an illustrated Options Appraisal for the Northern Lights Visitor Centre Company (NLVCC), identifying and assessing a number of potential sites for the proposed Wild Skies Centre in Unst, Shetland.
We worked closely with the Community through local consultation meetings, understanding the opportunities and challenges presented by this exciting project. Taking all the information gathered, together with carrying out extensive desk research into markets and comparators, we then developed a Business Plan for the project, highlighting preferred options, proposed phases and laying out practical steps to progress the project from this point.
‘We selected SKS from a field of strong candidates and are delighted with the choice we made. We are a couple of enthusiasts with some interesting ideas and a scattergun approach to taking things forward: SKS helped us to get our ideas in order and to give us some clear next steps, as well as a wider vision for the future. SKS left us feeling optimistic about the future of our project, and very much clearer about how to go about it.
A particularly good thing about SKS was the field of different experts which they gathered together for a very reasonable price. SKS was skilled in bringing the strands together and the visualisations of buildings and sites were a delight’.
